Written Appraisal
Written insurance appraisals provide peace of mind for our clients in knowing they will be properly compensated in the unfortunate event of loss or theft of their valuables.
We can assess a variety of items including new purchases or inherited family heirlooms and provide you with a comprehensive appraisal documentation which includes the following:
- Detailed description of each appraised item, such as size or length
- Precious metal content determination
- Condition of item
- Melee size and weight if applicable as well as color, cut, and clarity grade
- Each document also includes a digital photograph
- Appraised value will be determined at a conservative retail replacement value
- A basic cleaning is also performed before each inspection.
- Gemstones, diamonds are also tested for natural or lab origins
- Appraisals can sometimes be done while you wait and may take up to 45 minutes to evaluate. It takes 3-5 days to produce official documentation thereafter in both a soft/hard-copy format and starts at $165+

Please note that we are currently not accepting repair projects for pieces that were not manufactured by us due to recent insurance policy changes.
We offer maintenance and jewelry services for products that we have manufactured to offer our clients the support and peace of mind that they have someone to go to when their items need to be serviced.
It's best to send us an e-mail ahead of time with a description of the work needed and then follow up with a consultative meeting (which can also be done virtually or via a phone call) before a drop-off.
Pictures can be emailed to clientservices@theclassicgem.com with repair or restoration requests as the subject.
Please note: The current repair timeline is approximately 2-4 weeks out depending on the complexity of the project.
