Service Policy
To ensure the quality, safety, and long-term integrity of your jewelry, The Classic Gem exclusively services pieces that were designed, manufactured, or sold by us. Due to insurance requirements and the unique construction methods used by different jewelers, we are unable to perform cleaning, maintenance, repairs, stone setting, or restoration services on jewelry from outside manufacturers.
I: Classic Refresh
Approx. 45 Minutes (same-day service may be available)
A quick refresh to restore brilliance and sparkle includes: Ultrasonic cleaning, soft-bristle detailing, heated steam cleaning. Complimentary service for all TCG items/client visits.
II: Signature Maintenance
Estimated Turnaround: 3 to 6 Weeks
Our recommended annual maintenance service for everyday wear, pavé settings, and delicate designs. Includes classic refresh cleaning, professional polishing, comprehensive inspection, light tightening of stones and settings, as needed. This service helps preserve the beauty and integrity of your jewelry before more extensive repairs become necessary.
III: Signature Restoration
Estimated Turnaround: 3 to 6 Weeks
A comprehensive restoration service designed to return your jewelry as close as possible to its original factory condition. Recommended for heavily worn pieces, aging settings, or delicate designs requiring more extensive maintenance.
Includes: Deep ultrasonic cleaning, professional polishing, rhodium plating (when applicable), microscopic inspection of prongs, settings, and structural integrity, tightening of loose stones, prong correction and general restoration work, where applicable.
**Please Note:** Diamond and melee replacement are not included in this service. Additional repairs such as prong rebuilding, re-tipping, laser welding, or stone replacement may require additional labor and charges.
Replacement Stone Estimates:
**Insurance Tip:** Many independent jewelry insurance policies cover restoration work and stone replacement as preventative maintenance. Contact your insurance provider for coverage details.

Please note that we are currently not accepting repair projects for pieces that were not manufactured by us due to recent insurance policy changes.
We offer maintenance and jewelry services for products that we have manufactured to offer our clients the support and peace of mind that they have someone to go to when their items need to be serviced.
It's best to send us an e-mail ahead of time with a description of the work needed and then follow up with a consultative meeting (which can also be done virtually or via a phone call) before a drop-off.

Please note: The current repair timeline is approximately 2-4 weeks out depending on the complexity of the project.
